What is the Ghost Tour? The Ghost Tour of Philadelphia is a 75-90 minute candlelight walking tour of Independence Park and Society Hill. Guided by costumed storytellers, the tour stops at a number of historic sites that have reports of hauntings and strange legacies. This tour visits fewer sites than the trolley tour, but each site is given more time and detail, and the nature of the route creates a more intimate experience.
What is the Haunted Trolley Tour? The Haunted Trolley Tour is a 75-90 minute narrated trolley ride through Old City, Independence Park and Society Hill. The tour highlights up to 20 haunted sites. Of these sites, we mention some while passing, we stop at others for a few minutes, and we stop for a length of time at three. The trolley tour covers a larger area than the other two tours, including the Betsy Ross House, Christ Church Cemetery and Pennsylvania Hospital, which are not visited on the walking tours. A Ghost Tour of Philadelphia would be incomplete without stopping at Washington Square and Independence Hall; therefore, there is some cross-over between the tours.
What is the Ghost Hunting Tour? The Ghost Hunting Tour is a 75-90 minute guided tour that combines ghost stories with interactive ghost investigations. The first half of the tour takes place outside, where we visit old burial grounds and historic sites where paranormal experiences have occurred. The last half takes place inside a colonial-era Society Hill mansion that has a long history of ghostly sightings. EMF meters are provided.
