What is the Ghost Tour?
The Ghost Tour of Ocean City is a 90 minute candlelight walking tour of historic downtown
Ocean City, NJ.

Is advanced ticket purchase required?
No, but it is recommended. You must purchase tickets either online
or at Atlantic Books, between 8th and 9th Street on the Boardwalk,
until tour time.

Where does the tour begin?
The tour begins at the corner of E. 9th Street and Asbury Avenue,
outside City Hall.
What time should we get there?
Arrive no later than 15 minutes before tour time.
What should we wear?
Wear weather appropriate clothing and comfortable walking shoes.
What happens if it rains?
We make every attempt to conduct the tours; therefore, we do go in the rain. (So bring an
umbrella!) If weather conditions become severe, the tour may be cancelled. This decision is
typically made at tour time. Cancelled tours may be rescheduled or refunded.
What is the average size of a tour?
Tour sizes are limited, and additional guides are called in as needed.
Where does the tour go?
The tour takes place in the historic downtown, with less than a half hour of walking, generally
stopping at eight haunted sites.
Is the tour wheelchair accessible?
Yes.
Do you tell true stories or did you make them up?
All stories are historically documented through interviews and research, and are based on the
book Ghost Stories of Ocean City, NJ. What's more, the stories uniquely weave together the
history and haunted tales associated with the sites.
Is the tour suitable for children?
Yes, the tour is family appropriate, combining history, folklore and ghost stories.
Are cameras allowed on the tour?
Definitely! Many people have sent us strange photos they have captured on the tour.
